His Will, Not Ours

Joshua 12-15
Joshua 15:63 (KJV) 63 As for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of
Judah could not drive them out: but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at
Jerusalem unto this day. The question is why? If we answer their why, we may see why some things in our lives are still not driven out. We could assume it was as in the time of Christ, their unbelief. Matthew 13:58 (KJV) 58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief. It also appears that the land was a border of Judah and Benjamin. Sometimes we tend to leave that which is hard to the other person, to complete for we may win the battle and they may try to claim the reward. Neither reason is a cause for disobeying the God’s directive. This is the beginning of a people doing their will, not God’s will.
