Exodus 19-21
Exodus 20:19-20 (KJV) 19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. 20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not. This is the great danger still today. So, may want a man to tell them what God has said, when they have the very Words of God in their possession. Teaching and preaching of the Word of God is wonderful and vital but it does not replace your personal relationship with God and His Word. 1 John 1:3 - That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. John 10:27 (KJV) 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
