Deuteronomy 14-16
Deuteronomy 14:1-2 (KJV) 1 Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead. 2 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth. God makes it clear that His children should not do the things that the world does. There should be a visible difference. We should be holy, implying that some of the worlds ways, looks, are not holy. We are peculiar, which really means, special or valued treasure of God’s. Let’s live like it.
