Acts 10:47 (KJV)
47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? In years passed some have taught that you receive the Holy Ghost when you are obedient to baptism, but this is clear that they receive the Holy Ghost through belief in Christ and then were baptized. Man likes to put God in a box that He will fit their belief. What we should do is read the scripture carefully and let it tell us what to believe.
