Defeating Bitterness

Matthew 5-7
Matthew 5:44 (KJV) 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
These chapters describe what it means for your Christianity to be real. The difference between a façade and a Christian that truly understands the saving grace of Jesus. The above verse is as powerful as any, for it takes the Holy Spirit in you to love your enemies, to bless them, be good to them and pray for them. If we can do this we are taking a great step toward sincerity in our Christianity and we are taking a great step toward defeating the enemy of bitterness in our lives.
